Wicked click and collect is shoddy, every time I've done it the store have no stock. Maybe just local store but would not make a special journey

Same...even their stock check on the website is rubbish.

I went in to store where they had 30 boxes of grout....there was none.

Every time i try to order anything from here it says stock available online then when i go to checkout it says its out of stock …… gave us with wicks because of this

Totally agree. Except last time I ordered, paid, then got a telephone call to say none available, on day it was to be delivered. I too give up.

I get mine off facebook, always a few people who work for timber merchants flogging them cheap. Sure its 1-2 quid but all adds up. Just got 2.4m decking locally to me for 4quid, wickes were 6 quid.

I buy the pallet surroundings, make excellent raised planters and are dirt cheap. Bought 6 of them for less than £30

Have these got nasty chemicals in...would you need to line a 'food' planter with plastic? Also, would these be at all suitable for internal furniture construction??

Says pressure treated so should be OK? But also advises treating cut ends with preservative..

local timber places will be cheaper , eg 2.4 x 200 x 100 for £19.95  , that’s if you are doing a large project and need quite a few

I bought these in store (stock checker said they had 90+) but they weren't on display so they had to get someone to wheel them out on a pallet from the back and I chose ones which weren't split , chipped and rotting.

Does anyone know if the 2.4m sized ones are too heavy for 2 people to maneuver easily? Wondering whether to buy 1.2m or 2.4m ones to. make a border for my garden. (edited)
    RobMotoring's avatar
I know these ones are really light. One person could manage two at a time if reasonably fit. Depends how big the border is, if it’s quite a size the bigger ones will be better.

Reckon I could I use these atop blocks or paving for a greenhouse base?
    dh50uk's avatar
Is it a walk in greenhouse? You’ll need to lock them in somehow to prevent movement.  Are you planning on walking on them?  They will be slippery.  They will rot….eventually, quicker in humid conditions like the floor of a greenhouse but not so quick that you would need to worry about it for a few years.

@Chanchi32 thank you so much for posting this! I almost paid for about 40 at £12 each. You saved me a lot of cash

To be fair, search your local area for sawmills etc as they will do them and work out cheaper for 2.4m long usually. May also deliver free if you buy enough.
