Powerful and portable? That’s right, this ASUS TUF Gaming A15 laptop lets you play anywhere, anytime, and has all the tech you need for an epic adventure. Lots of games coming out at the same time? Don’t worry – the 512GB SSD has plenty of room for growing libraries, but that’s not all. It’ll zip through loading screens in no time, so make sure your thumbs are ready and not twiddling. Plus, you’ll also get 1 month of MacAfee security and 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, netting you hundreds of titles to check out and safe browsing. Winner.

Anything with 4070 under £1k? Or should I bite it

Currys had the 4070 version of this exact laptop for £1,099.97 for a couple of hours the other week ( hotukdeals.com/dea…766 ) but they now don't have any stock and being last year's version I dunno whether the entire reason they reduced it was to get rid of their last few and they're no longer gonna be stocking it or what.

This one apparently goes on offer quite often (it's not a gaming rig but the 4070 in it is a 120 watt one): hotukdeals.com/dea…883 , hotukdeals.com/dea…251

The only 4070 for under a grand I ever recall seeing on here though was the MSI one Currys had back in March for £804.97 but that thing vanished sharpish: hotukdeals.com/dea…204

So uh to answer your question? If you can stretch to just over a grand you might get lucky if you can wait a bit longer, if you can't you're probably gonna have to time it right.

Overall I guess it depends how much longer you can wait. Also this vid might be of use to you:

Hopefully this is somewhat helpful, maybe someone else with far more knowledge than me can chip in though.

ETA: Looks like some of the Lenovo's posted way back in November were 4070s for under a grand but they also had no OS supplied with them if that's an issue. (Also as that was November it's been a while - might imply that this November will be similar so again we're back to how long you're able to wait). (edited)

Was looking for a budget laptop as I didn't want to spend more than 800. Best I've seen were 4050 laptops or 4060 with 75TGP. Thanks for sharing this, managed to pull the trigger on this one

Ive been looking at the refurbished ones on eBay this week, nearly pulled the trigger when I got an offer for a "good" quality refurbished unit for £744.

£777 for new is a great deal, thanks OP!

Good luck getting a refund inside a month if you change your mind & arrange an immediate unopened return as I did with a Zenbook last year. Dreadful outfit.
    FireFreeAFC's avatar
Why would you need a refund? This is a great laptop at an even better price.

not a bad lowest price to date.

Got this for a similar price a couple of months ago, already off for repair as the hard drive failed.. was perfect aside from that rather major fault.
