    Blimey is that what they go for? I’ve got a barely used one that’s sat in a cupboard. Missus took it to the charity shops twice and they refused it.

    This is likely because of the hassle of electronics in charity shops with people making returns which are more hassle and if they do sell electronics they have to be pat tested first, some sell electricals but some rather not.

    How different are the controllers to PS3 controllers, are they compatible

    These work with PS3 on a cable in almost all games but you're losing ability to summon ps menu from the game so no quitting and from the game without PS3 controller. Basically ps button just doesn't work. (edited)

    Yeah I played Ragnarok on it and it was a miracle of optimisation considering how good it looked.

    Nice price for someone who has yet to take the dive

    There is a HUGE back catalogue of games with some stunning triple AAA titles that can be had for £20 or less.

    My PS4 pro is still my principal platform and I still purchase new releases when they come out, admittedly less frequent now but Sony did some nice fan service with Ragnorak, Horizon 2, Elden Ring and Lies of P

    My original PS4 sounds so bad and I've looked after it well. I wouldn't dream of charging somebody for it!

    By bad, I assume you mean the fans being on full blast all the time.

    If you are interested in fixing it, take it apart, clean the dust from the coolers and reapply thermal paste.

    It's a common problem.

    Can't fault the customer service. I bought a used Xbox one S from game online last month. Controller had stick drift so I sent it back for a replacement. They emailed a week later to say they had no replacement controllers in stock, so they refunded me the purchase for the Xbox and also refunded the postage. Free Xbox! Just bought a cheap 3rd party controller and all good

    I worked for a large IT refurbisher in the UK. We updated everything, we had multiple teams for different parts of the the refurb process. It is how it should be done. I don't know how Sports Direct (GAME) do things, but for me and where I used to work we did everything properly. Everyone there was great, the owner, the whole team. Do things properly don't take any half measures in anything you do is the way to be. (edited)

    my modded ps4 is collecting dust somewhere, next to the CFW original phat american PS3, and the PS2 with a HDD- the modded PS1 died a few years ago (not a b ig deal since the ps2 is backwards compatible and the ps3 is backwards compatible with all ps2 and ps1 games)
    zero desire to ever buy another sony console

    might buy a ps portal if the modding scene is good

    If anyone bought this and it has firmware 11.00 or lower and you want to jailbreak, don't update. - A new jailbreak is going to be released very soon for PS4. (edited)
