sorted bySeriously, that article is the typical scaremongering written by the average local 'newspaper'. Actual modifications need to be declared, but not a hardwired dashcam. The article had no backing from the underwriters themselves!

It was cheaper than this when I bought it and it does sometimes come on a deal but the whole thing takes minutes to install, without lots of wiring.
I fitted it to my wife's Kia Sportage and although it cost more, I'm still happy with the purchase.
