I like these cruise deals but I'm not sure the point of such a short one, this is basically a day in Zeebrugge, is there anything to see there?

This may be good for people who are worried about sea sickness. My wife would like to go on a cruise, but she thinks she may not tolerate it. This is short and gives you an idea if it is worth paying thousands for a proper cruise. Imagine paying lots of money and waiting for the first port to get off and go back home.
Also, some people may go for the entertainment or to just have a short break from their kids. (edited)

We did a three dayer from Southampton on this ship. Southampton - Dieppe - Bruges...... I'm far from a snob but bloody hell, it was like Pontins on the high seas.

Great deal if you live down in that neck of the woods

Premium drinks package on this one is £134pp, so at £159 each for an interior cabin plus drinks package work out at £293pp, the same cruise was on sale with sea scanner and cruise.co.uk last week for £224pp incl premium drinks package.

So WAS a deal but not so much now as £69 MORE each!

I think the £159 allows a free upgrade though so you wouldn’t be in an inside cabin unless you wanted one. This is a great deal btw. Bruges is a lovely place to visit if anyone hasn’t been before I’d highly recommend it. Anyone considering it get on google and take a look at Bruges which can be reached from Ze Brugge via taxi or cheaper options via tram / train

35 hour cruise so that's £4.54 per hour which for all food, bed and entertainment is pretty good on the face of it, but to a dull as dishwater destination.
By the time you've just explored the ship, just about got your bearings and slept there'll be a little time to eat and that's it.
    Too short really.

Taster cruise really, to know if you waste your money or not on a proper cruise. Imagine paying thousands and waiting for the first port to get back home due to sea sickness.

Where does MSC sit compared to other cruise lines? I have sailed P&O, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Virgin, and I would probably rate those in that order from bottom to top.

I've done 10 RC, 3 carnival, 1 msc. I'd rate msc just under my fave of RC, but I sailed a better ship, in the carribean. It's way more a European vibe and food, compared to RCs catering to Americans imo

Not that I've done one of these short cruises but they often end up being 'booze cruises' for people getting away for 2 days but going big on the ale all weekend , obviously not caring about the one dull stop it does.
Do a weeks cruise on this ship to the med and it would probably be a whole differnet experience.

That been said if I lived in Southampton I'd be all over this (edited)

Yep I'v done 2 nights and 1 week.
The 2 nighters are not enjoyable as everyone is rushing about trying to get as many drinks, food and activities in as possible. On the 7 night cruise its a can seem busy for the first 1 or 2 days then becomes alot more relaxed as people become more familiar with the ship.

    Description is wrong.

the insides don't qualify for the balcony upgrade that's from ocean view to balcony another £20pp.
