Good price but I'd rather buy the Mercusys AX6000 at £99.99, it has a 2.5G port and also takes Openwrt.

Have you tired one of these , looking to replace my Asus ac86u with a device with wifi6. Hoping this can reach the garden properly , something that the Asus seems to no longer do.

Great router, but probably over 4 years now I got it when it was launched in a previous house and I've been in current one 3.5 years.

Huge fan of TPlink stuff and if I ever need to replace it I would do with similar, wifi 6 is more than enough for most people but 6E and even 7 are now 'current gen'

Huge upgrade on any of the ISP junk though.

If I get this my Mrs will freak out and try to smack it with our hoover thinking it's a big spiker

I don't know a huge amount, but the Technicolor router supplied by our ISP is not good and don't have a stable connection to rooms around the house. We are on a 900Mbs package so would be looking at Wifi 6 routers, could anyone suggest which one to go for? And perhaps a mesh system?

It would be like recommending a car or phone to you tbh, would be open to warriors picking faults as none perfect.
Do much depends on your environment, my brother for example has an extension that WiFi just won't penetrate at all, had to run a cable and put a node in
Budget and experience of setting up helps folk help you
Some are difficult to setup and some are easy peasy, you pay for convenience quite a lot.

As I'm old we live in a 100+yr old bungalow and need 3 nodes as walls are really thick
My last new build house, one decent router covered the whole 4 bed house (edited)

If your spending relatively big money, be sure it has WiFi 6e....... This does not

Wouldn’t touch anything less than WiFi 6e
