Tidy looking watch for the price. How does it stack up against the Seiko 5's that seem to be getting posted a lot recently? Or the cheaper Pagani's? (edited)

I have an Orient and a Seiko 5. I would say the Orient was the better made watch. It also keeps better time, losing about a second a day compared to the Seiko, which loses about 7 seconds a day.

My Orient is a Mako, so it has a similar style to my Seiko 5 Sports.

    For reference

Going to sound odd here...coming from a Garmin Epix2 as a daily driver - that actually looks pretty appealing. Epix is 47mm for reference. I don't even have big wrists, but I'm just used to having a big lump there.

I feel naked with the 38mm one I'm currently wearing

That ain't 48.7mm... Look at the proportions to the 22mm bracelet...

Sadly 50m WR is a bit of a letdown, but I do love me some Orient...

Utterly bargain price and has something the Seikos of equivalent range don't have. Quality and style.

Doesn't look nearly hideous enough to be "70s" to me.... Ok to be fair there were some reasonable designs from that era but so much hideousness, oh dear God...

I love Orient but wish their logo was "cleaner" it looks like a logo of an own brand chocolate or coffee from a German discount supermarket, nothing wrong with those things, it could just do with a simpler symbol like a distinctive O or samurai sword or something.

This is 42mm diameter and 48mm lug to lug from what I've read
