Had this for a few years now - brilliant saw IMO.

For portable use what would be the best options for securing this while in use?

Great saw for the money. Most of my kit is all dewalt, knows and wera so I am a bit of a tool snob and was reluctant with this purchase a few years ago but it has been great

I’m currently doing an apprenticeship and starting to get some jobs outside of work would you say it’s heavy duty enough and good enough for skirting and flooring etc

Currently using the DB + for building a decking and can't fault it. Paid about £249 and £70.for the stand from tool station.

Good find OP, the single bevel is the same price on Screwfix so this would be much better. Agree with you on whether to go with the single elsewhere and buy the stand, or commit to this

Great find OP and just for a heads up people - Evolutions own site is selling this for £299 see below.
    Save a whopping £100!

Slight variation between the DB+ and DB model. The DB+ model retails above £300 everywhere I've seen

    Can this cut tiles too?

Nice saw but i always found a double bevel rather pointless when you can simply flip the work piece over
